Hey, my card drive’s working again!
Now I can show off my latest creation, who should be complete VERY soon!
Please note that this is the ‘NiGHTS into Dreams’ version of Reala and I haven’t yet made the vest or hands and armguards.
Want one? Send me a note, but be warned that handmade dolls can be pricey. . .
Music is “NiGHTS and Reala” from NiGHTS into Dreams, by and copyright to SonicTeam.
the doll is completely hand sewn and is being made by me.

They are American Girl Dolls.
I would first need to know what material is used as the stuffing underneath the cloth body.
Many delicate fabrics come out well from just soaking (or gentle agitation) in Joy dish detergent. Even better when a little water softener is added.
20 Mule Team Borax is a great multi use product. Check out a box, it will explain itself.
If the dolls are not antiques or hand made they might have a label stating what the fill is and if it is washable. And the washing isn’t my concern, it’s getting it dry that causes a variety of potential woes. Otherwise, you can spray the surface then blot with clean white paper towels which can take many, many repetitions, but will do the job without any damage to the fabric or stitching. No scrubbing or rubbing. Be patient and persistent and it will pay off.
Male doll with a tobacco felt over his shoulder to represent a Navajo style blanket, hide moccasins on his feet, a painted face with hollowcut and stitched eyes, stitched mouth, measures 21 inches tall. Female doll with same facial technique, a black velvet dress with lace apron, high top hide boots, measures approximately 24 inches tall. Both circa 1900 and were purchased at Channing Auction, Santa Fe in 1993. Both show considerable wear and age, appear complete, hide moccasins and boots look good, but man’s trousers show numerous holes.

So my American Girl Dolls were laying on this large bed I have for them, clothes and all and my cat peed and pooped on them. It got on three dolls cloth body’s and clothes. Can I wash the clothes in a washing machine, or do I need to do it by hand. How to I get the urine and smell out of the cloth body. Thanks for helping me out!
I use a pet odor and stain neutralizer that is 100% all natural. I just put the product directly on the odor or stain and it gets rid of it. I found out about it at http://www.allnaturalproducts.com.
Good luck!

Alice and the white rabbit in Wonderland are new puppets by artist Nancy Latham, renowned for her Wistful Children Cloth Dolls. Nancy does paintings and sketches of her ideas which can then become dolls, and she also does painting portraits of finished dolls. For her painting, drawing, and dollmaking go hand in hand.
